Jack Johnson’s Kokua Festival 2020

Saturday, April 25 at Noon HST. Catch a livestream of music and home cooking lessons with Ed Kenney and Mark Noguchi.

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day Jack Johnson hosts a 2 hour livestream version of the Kokua Festival.

Live from Home is the 2020 livestream version of Jack’s long-running Kokua Festival. Musical guests include Ben Harper, G.Love, Ziggy Marley, Lukas Nelson, Paula Fuga, Kawika Kahiapo, John Cruz, Anuhea, Ron Artis II and Thunderstorm Artis.

In keeping with the mission of the Kokua Festival’s main beneficiary, Kokua Hawaii Foundation, a non-profit that provides environmental education and connects students to experiences that link clean land, food and water, chefs Ed Kenny and Mark Noguchi will be sharing the digital stage. Mark is cooking a whole fish caught by local diver Kimi Werner. Chef Ed the master of improvisation and cooking what comes through the kitchen door will no doubt showcase Hawaii grown products to inspire your own cook local dinner.

To aid Covid-19 relief efforts a portion of the concert’s proceeds will be directed to Hawaii programs that support sustainable Hawaii food systems. Chef Hui, an organization that facilitates chefs feeding their community and started by chef Mark and his wife Amanda Corby will receive a portion of the proceeds to benefit Chef Hui’s Give and Go Community Meal Program. Other organizations sharing the proceeds are Aloha Havest, and the Full Calabash Fund.
